Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the aqoon platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

aqoon is a knowledge management platform that allows you to upload, organize, and search documents, and connect them to AI assistants via API and MCP (Model Context Protocol).

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
• Use the Service for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or the platform's infrastructure
• Circumvent rate limits or security measures
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload to aqoon ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant aqoon a limited license to store, process, index, and serve Your Content solely to provide the Service to you and your authorized API consumers.

We do not use Your Content to train AI models or share it with third parties, except as required to deliver the Service (e.g., Azure AI Search for indexing).

6. API Keys and Access

API keys grant programmatic access to your data. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your API keys confidential
• Managing collection-level access for scoped keys
• Revoking keys that may have been compromised

7. Rate Limits and Fair Use

API usage is subject to rate limits based on your billing plan. Excessive use that degrades the Service for others may result in temporary throttling or suspension.

8. Billing and Payment

Paid plans are billed monthly. You agree to pay all applicable fees. Failure to pay may result in downgrade to the free tier or suspension of your account.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for billing disputes.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your settings page. Upon deletion:

• Your account enters a 7-day grace period during which you can contact support to cancel the deletion
• After the grace period, your account and all associated data (documents, collections, API keys, usage logs) are permanently deleted

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep aqoon available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, aqoon and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

12. Intellectual Property

The aqoon platform, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of its operators. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to aqoon's intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guinea. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Conakry.
